his mother was royalty. So, he was more of a child out of wedlock. But even that was changed by the King when he declared Raymond's dead mother as a honorary queen.
[collapse]The reason Raymond is compared to Cale is because of their thought process, the events occurring in the plot, and their personality. I think the biggest difference of them too is that Cale is rich since the beginning and then he became even more wealthier, while as plot develops, Raymond became buried in millions of debt. Here's their similarity:SpoilerRaymond also wants to get rich and then live a comfortable life. He also has a title given to him by the commoners "The Light", similar to Cale's "Young Master Silver Light Shield". Additionally, they're a misunderstood person. Their actions are misinterpreted by other people. They like to excuse their actions as them being a horrible person since they're doing it for not "good" reasons. They say that but they will help others anyway.
[collapse]Now, regarding the similarity of plot:SpoilerLike TCF, Raymond also travels to other kingdoms, make allies with people he had helped, and help solve problems at the cause of his health. In doing so, he became the benefactor and savior of various places. He is unknowingly enemies with a secret organization who wants to take him down since he's disrupting their plans.
[collapse]This novel is a good read. The plot development makes me want to keep on reading. If you're like who is not knowledgeable in medicine anyway. It's interesting to read Raymond's diagnoses of his patients and then how he solves them.
