I think it went downhill. The best part about it for me was him visiting new worlds, learning magic and swordsmanship, but after that, it just didn't happen as often. before, just because he's smart and experienced? How does that make sense? It feels like he should be the protagonist at this point. But even though it has some plot holes and gets a bit boring later on, it's still worth the read in my opinion. Especially for the different worlds he travels to, I found that really interesting.
