When it comes to CN I have a rule of thumb, and that is to never read any novel with more than 2500 chapters, because the longer it is, the harder it would be to maintain the quality and it's almost certain that it would turn into tr*sh. This novel has more than 8000ch and still ongoing. But I read it anyway since I have nothing else to read. And well, for the first 200ch, it's rather decent.

The MC is a human raised by demons, a bit naive and the goody-two-shoes type. In fact, one of the major troubles he was in was caused by his inability to NOT poke his nose into other people's problem, he just HAD to help a fellow student he barely knew which pushed him into a long standing blood feud with his sect's one of most influential peeps nonetheless. This is actually a theme in this novel, where the author making up bullsh*t and nonsensical excuses to push the MC into troubles just so he can profited in the end. Everyone and everything just seemed to push him into dangerous situations that would have killed him 1000 times over if not for the super thick plot armor.

The MC is just okay, the support characters got enough personalities to be distinctive, but the villains all made from the same carboard cutout, the "How dare you blah blah blah" arrogant and s*upid type, including the old and powerful villains who all acted out like brainless idiots who got offended and got into a blood feud with the MC over the smallest things. And they are annoyingly long lasting. If you're expecting immediate face-slapping/payoff, then forget it. The very first arrogant young master in this novel which comes from the same backward mountain the MC was from, is still alive and well even after 200ch, and so was the 2nd and 3rd arrogant young masters. The MC and author just found excuses to keep them alive. I got blue-balled for 200ch, waiting for the MC to kill them and release my frustration, but nope, said the author, f*ck you.

I'm not too hopeful about this novel.
