So both confessions are hanging in the air and Shinji is paralyzed from uncertainty. No real surprise there.
Looking at this series so far I’m impressed. Each of the main characters is interesting and genuinely interested in what happens to them all. All the characters do seem to run on emotion rather than logic, but I consider that appropriate because they are all 14. I feel this volume is the weakest of the three so far but hopefully the second half picks it up.
