I will say, although there are definitely cliches, the reading experience was quite enjoyable. However, there was a lot I had disliked, and soured the whole thing.

my main issues stem with just how weird the progression of the mls love plays out. So was it caused by the snake, was it not? Why, after losing his memories, did the ML all of a sudden return back to his previous love for the MC halfway through? I still don't understand if the love was caused by snake poison.

secondly, the ML is just not as good as some of the other dudes. The sect master, even with his tendencies, was so much desirable tbh. The ML seemed bland, the only thing he had going for him was that he was pretty but cold. I even wished that the MC did take the marriage properly given by li yiye or whatever his name is. Wish me did sleep with the sect master dude in the end. The plot got lazy near the end, I feel. Also the amnesia trope, I don't hate, but I don't think it helped this story, only hindered it. I don't like the whole matter of MC all of a sudden wanting to cultivate with the ML to the point of assault.

the story was still good for a quantity of it though, so it still deserves pretty good ratings.
