Hiya everyone, I’m SaltyTank, the translation checker of this series, also the one who licensed this series with the author.

Chui Yim, the MC of the series, is a reincarnator from the author’s other series. We follow him from the moment he is born into this new world which has a completely different cultivation system in the form of “gliphs”. While he uses his knowledge from his past life to gain advantages, he can also be oblivious to the ways of life in this “foreign” land at times.

The cultivation system in this novel is also unique and sophisticated. Most things are well-explained and backed up by the use of plants, animal products, and minerals, all of which have their own classifications and so on.

Plot-wise, we get to see action in both the South and the North, which are opposing factions on the continent, through the eyes of the MC and other characters. Build up can be slightly slow at times but the author never fails to deliver confrontations and obstacles to keep things from getting dull and repetitive.

I’m also intrigued by how the author connects all his stories to form a massive universe. Characters from his other series make their appearances in Night of the Broken Gliph, and their past lives may even have major impacts on how they choose to live their second lives. Hopefully all his novels will be translated one day so we get to see the connection between his novels (we're actually working on one already).

As this novel is from Hong Kong instead of China, it is quite different from typical Chinese wuxia novels that have plots that follow similar patterns. Hopefully this brings something refreshing for everyone to read. The original series is still ongoing so I can only review what I’ve read, but so far it’s been an enjoyable read!

This wraps up my review and I hope all of you will enjoy it too ^_^
