Priest works never fail to amaze me with how intellectual they are. The problem is that her works tend to be SO smart I have a serious hard time understanding them. Yes I read them, but did anything process in my head? Absolutely not.But this work.Oh this work is SCRUMPTIOUS.In the first 6 chapters, you won't understand shit. Cause we are following MC into this new world, and the terms are confusing, cause if MC doesn't understand that means we as the readers don't understand. So many questions will be raised as you read. It could be a major ick or turn off for many of you, because I almost dropped it as I couldn't understand what was going on.But as an avid Priest reader, I continued. How could an author who wrote so many thought provoking, poetic, deep and smart (political) novels downgrade to this mess??? So I read on and BOY WAS I RIGHT cause everything literally gets explained in chapters 15-18. The escalation to that was soooo good, cause it takes you on a ride to see how crazy MC would act.Anyways, 5 stars, to boost this story. I'm pretty sure it's a quick transmigration story with multiple 'rooms' and avatars they have to be. I'm excited to know and read on!Edit: so I think I was wrong. This book doesn't seem like a qm story anymore because book 2 we still don't know our MC's name._. But I still have hopes for this book!
