Hi, I'm the current translator, heading up to the end of Arc 1.Whether you enjoy this series or not will likely come down to whether you enjoy reading a main character that could either be a bumbling fool or a genius. He is someone with super anxiety issues plaguing him.The main character isn't a weak personality though. Who is more courageous, the person with no fear, or the person that faces their fear? And Cry has a lot of fears.I am a fan of this novel for a few reasons:Original world building - It kind of reminds me of a cross between Hunter x Hunter and One Piece. In that the world is grounded in grim reality where death is common, but the characters have that idealistic camaraderie going on.Strong supporting characters: Each one has a distinct personality, the female characters especially.Humour: I find it hilarious.This novel hits all the right notes for me. I'd say a flaw is that the exposition can be a little dry sometimes. But I'm the type of person that likes dry exposition so... Five stars!
