First thing first. I want to say this type of novel is for someone who can enjoy a story like Gintama. If you ever started it and dropped it because you felt it was not for you 8/10 you will make the same choice on this.Second, People are getting stuff twisted about this story. It is like someone watching Gintama, and asking why Gin-san uses a wooden sword to fight? Even when it is a deathmatch? Come on it is not about correctness. Though it may seem so, it's contradictory nature is a major selling point. Understand that this is a running gag. Everyone else in the story is playing a straight man or supporting role to his shtick "Master is a genius". When you start taking his actions seriously and analyzing them down to the forethought you have already veered off course. The main selling point is the absurdity of his actions. That he views with perfect normalcy, he himself is the biggest enigma of the story. Yet views himself as the only normal individual in a room full of oddities. Don't ruin this story experience for yourself by getting into the mentality that the MC is supposed to make perfect sense. He is not despite his monologues that make you think he is. He is a paradox of reason.
