3.5 stars, rounded up. I really, really like this story. Unfortunately, the things I like about it seem to fade the more the chapters go on.For me, the story peaked with the academy days arc - in other words, the very first part of the story. Those chapters also seem to be the most intelligent the MC will ever get to be, and I doubt she'll ever manage to get back to that level of intelligence again with the way the novel is progressing. This isn't to say that I don't enjoy the mischevious MC whose harebrained schemes always end up backfiring, but it does get tiring. Every now and then, I wish she'd demonstrate a working brain. However, I really do like this novel. I like the incredibly cunning and black-bellied villainess, I like her s*upidly op-ness, and I love her interactions with the MC. That's really the only reason I'm reading anymore. The plot is essentially skippable, more of a way to get the MC and the villainess traveling and out of the academy. A shame, in my opinion. Oh, and the og female lead completely disappears from the story later on. Along with the male lead and actually everyone who opposes the villainess - stick around for a bit, annoy the readers + the MC, and then meet a miserable end. I can see how this might get repetitive, but well, I like this kind of villain so it's fine.
