Read the spoilers. Seems to get more and more unrealistic and violent. A shame because the beginning was somewhat decent (for this kind of story). Just because someone did something horrible and violent to the FL doesn't mean that she can react in a violent way, okay? Example:
Step-mother pours boiling water on her face. FL pours an entire kettle-full of water on her step-mother.
You would go to jail for that. There is no way to justify that as reasonable self defence. Don't go starry-eyed thinking that the FL can finally defend herself - question why you think it is acceptable foranyone to pour boiling water on someone.From then on it just seems to drag on in a series of repetitive and never-ending schemes and tricks and you-did-this-so-I'm-gonna-do-that.
