This novel had a lot of potential, however the author is an extreme nationalist. Rather than a novel about the modern world interacting with a fantasy world, its a soapbox where the author shares his biased political views. Straw men are created by the author to vilify the nations of the world, and of course Japan is the sole heroic nation. In recent chapters I feel like the author forgot this is supposed to be a fantasy novel and spends most of the time unironically building China as some villain who kicks puppies for fun.The author seriously needs to get over himself.2/5
