-Plot armor is a bit too much. MC indeed struggle but Oh! Dear! Because he’s a fraudster he has like a billions talents so he always guess what’s gonna happen next and make the necessary preparation and he’s so good at understanding others that he can always find the rights words, he’s NEVER wrong.
-It irks me how the audience calls him wife right from the beginning. He doesn’t give bottom vibes at all so... yea.
-Romance is non-existant and I’m not sure how the author will make them fall in love with each other. On one side, MC wants to kill ML and on the other, ML wants to eat (literally yes) MC. Although I do not mind an enemy-to-lover plot, in this novel, I feel no chemistry at all. Whenever the MC and ML have a scene together, I can’t wait for it to be over as it feels so forced. I genuinely think that Sang Wo just wants them to interact to justify that “this is the CP”. I don’t know, personally I’d prefer if the ML didn’t exist or wasn’t some evasive existence who kind of copy past his actions from one arc to another (Waking up, being praised to heaven by the author, scaring MC, being hungry for MC, getting played by MC).
-I also have to say, the ML is bland af. My man has no personality besides “I’m Hungry and I wanna eat him but for some reason Im still not eating him so I stay hungry and I still somehow believe his BS even though I know he’s lying to me”. I really don’t get why he didn’t eat MC yet because, honestly, he’s portrayed as an all mighty evil god who do NOT care about anything and is for some reason trapped into the system. In the first 2 instances (which last nearly 100 chapters), he has no reasons not to immediately eat the MC: first one, he just follows his instincts so why does he bother listening to MC, and the second one, he’s getting played by MC yapping even though all he thinks about is eating him. It’s only in the third arc that there’s an actual valid reason for him not to eat the MC: he makes him his bishop and thus gives him the task of retrieving his fragments, the deal being of him not eating the MC if he succeed...
I don’t know if what I said was clear enough but in short: ML’s attitude until the third arc makes no sense. It’s just the plot armor that makes MC able to survive their encounter so... Not my preference but it’s just a personal dislike on my end.
