.... ACK that's sweet as heck...

I don't usually like reading sweet and fluffy stories because they turn me off, I'll feel like I was being fed dog food... And overtime it gets boring for me once "the MC and ML finally gets together and fighting together in the name of love". I usually prefer scum ab*se, double edged sword and chasing crematorium stories where the MC and ML hurt one another and the ending is BE tragedy or NP (no pairing) because this gives me the outmost satisfaction and it's my preference.

So I was surprised that I actually love this and didn't get bored of it.

Reasons why I love this:

    • Scum ab*se. Yes, there is, not as severe as other scummy novels, but still made me go ah~yah~yes~. And even though it's not the ML who would, it's still satisfying to see the og gong suffer from regret and guilt for mistreating and "misunderstanding" the MC. He hated the MC for being "vicious" and "evil" but he also love him... Well, it's love, no matter how much I want to vomit... he does love the MC, but the way he treated the MC and wronged the MC makes his "love" seems so s*upid and cheap. Delicious deserved scum ab*se~
    • MC. Right, everything about this cute little ball of sunshine. (He's adorable but he's def not a white lotus. I like how blunt and straightforward he is. Like if you piss him off by harming his love ones, he would not think twice to put a knife (sharp edge of a bottle) at your throat, literally) Also. Unlike the MCs from other transmigration novels that became cannon fodders who would do harmful things for the sake of the task or not going ooc or "following the plot" to go home. Our MC, even though he's really trying to follow the plot in the beginning of the novel, wasn't quite the same. At least, I think, the MC is not rlly that selfish. Spoiler

He didn't plan on pretending to be someone else at first. He didn't want to be vicious or cruel and he would never want to harm anyone just to follow some kind of plot. But something painful happened and the MC seemed to be "punished" because he didn't "follow his character". He also developed trauma because of this experience. When he first transmigrated (from childhood till he was 12 yrs old I think), he tried his best to be a good kid...a good person... but he was still wrongly accused and even received the disdain of a certain "big brother" he looked up to, Qin Gu. It was very sad for the MC and I'm so disappointed with Qin Gu, he's an annoying f*cker, really. Also, the MC really cares for his love ones. Even if he thinks he would suffer punishment, he still wouldn't shame his "canary" in his mom's event like what was said in the original plot.

    • ML. Dudeee ack. I don't even know... he's just so so so... so sweet to the MC. He never treated the MC coldly. NEVER. Ever since their first meeting, he was GENTLE and KIND. He was supposed to be aloof and cold beauty right? I thought so as well at first... but he's really NOT towards the MC. Even his thoughts are so cute. Possessive, yet doting and caring. Obsessed yet he always suppressed himself for the sake of the MC. Which is a good thing, since the MC only deserves to be love like this. MC already endured so much. Just imagine being controlled most of his life by this "plot" and having to play a vicious character just to avoid a painful punishment. MC also receives too many knives from that Qin Gu already. It's so satisfying to see MC receive so much love from the ML.
    • Family. AAAAAAA Mc's step mother and step sister are just SO ADORABLY FIERCE! FAM PROTECTING MC! The MC is definitely "misunderstood" by the world and he was always slandered. His family are always there to support him. No cliche internal dog blooded conflict, finally!
    • MC's uncle...!!! That uncle and nephew pair are def a pair of shous lol omg! There's a side couple hehe ~ Mc's uncle is the overprotective type. He's also the backer of MC. He's not boring at all. He's more uh... unrestrained and definitely brings off a youthful and arrogant vibe. He doesn't care about the family's company, built his own entertainment company to just well... play and have fun and appreciate beauties? But he's def financially successful lol. And his gong is the secretary (former boxer/ gangster) I think. What a good pair!
EDIT:

Now I know where this sense of familiarity came from! This novel actually reminded me of the novel "Black lotus" because of the pretentious Xiao Yang dude and og gong hating the mc---like a lighter and non-tragedy version of Black lotus. EXCEPT, there's no overly dramatic dog blood drama, the MC here transmigrated and didn't really love the og gong, MC didn't end up with the scum gong, MC ended up with the caring ml, and overall, this one is so fluffy.
