She said it herself, she doesn't want people to find out that all her pets have abilities in the early stages which is why it's kinda idiotic to go to a base where many people reside. And, mind you, she has around 20 pets (many are small, some are big). In the apocalypse isn't it eyecatching for someone to walk with that many pets? People will eventually get curious yanno.
[collapse]There's the romantic subplot tag which I'm kinda disatisfied about. I prefer no romance for this novel. I can't help but feel that romance is unnecessary here. And for the suspected ML to appear so early is a major turn off for me. Besides, even the suspected ML is the cliche cold and unfeeling type who rarely shows gentleness to the opposite gender except for the female lead.The person I suspected to be the ML is...SpoilerYun Zhao's second uncle, Mr. Yun. Why? Because MC praised his voice and his looks, he comes from the "mysterious~" (insert roll eyes) Yun Family, he's very powerful, and his attitude is cold and unfeeling (c'mon this is a novel, if this cold dude is not the ML then who?) . Furthermore, this cold dude is more lenient and generous to MC and gave her a house. I'm not sure as I have read the mtl but this cold dude smiled at MC and helped her to stand up on the elevator scene (which is a shock to his bodyguards since they always thought that their boss is not gentle to the ladies). Oh, one more thing, this dude lives just next door with his nephew whom MC saved on the street.
[collapse]For the first few chapters, I liked it although the number of pets got me lazy to even remember their names and abilities. But now, I don't know anymore. I expected this novel to have no romance T.T and to be about MC just getting stronger and living a carefree life outside any stronghold (which I know is gonna be su*cide, bu still) sighhhh.. whatever. Though I'm disatisfied, MC's action is reasonable.So, I rate it 3 stars because 1) the first few chapters are boring and confusing since it's jampacked with details I have trouble digesting and remembering; and 2) because I'm not satisfied. I don't like the involvement of romance here. I also don't like some of the actions done by MC.Note: I'm still at Ch. 35. In the meantime, I'm gonna drop this and read something else. But I highly encouraged people to write reviews for this so I'll know if the next chapters are gonna be an enjoyable read. Thanks.
