That said, the story feels off. All these time travel reincarnator stories are edited so the protagonist has plot armor to send them soaring in social status, but here I feel like I know I've learned things from history that directly contradict the protagonist's ascension and I just can't quite remember what it is. And that feeling sticks with me throughout the whole time I'm reading.
