Perennial Species Chapter 66 Discussion

The writing is so compelling, and the translator does a fantastic job at getting everything cross, one of the many reasons I run everytime I see an update. That's mainly why I wanted to write this short (ish?) review.

I've been following it for a while now and I just love seeing how the story slowly unfolds.... the premise and world building is one that I thoroughly enjoy. A mashup of fantasy, dungeon, powers or in this case "cosmos" it's all so interesting and cool!! It's definitely not something I've read before, like yes there are some elements of the kr dungeon fantasy genre but that's just the small building blocks for building the world used in mansaengjong - really unique on its own right in my opinion - its not boring nor does it feel repetitive at all! like just from the beginning chapters and how it started, I seriously had no clue where the plot would go and I still don't (one of the best things about good writing tbh like I have so many theories just from 60 odd chapters im feeling also some sort of Spoiler

you can already tell the wider overarching plotline is going to be something incredible.

secondly the characters... especially the dynamics between taechon guild they're so funny I do love a group of friends in a world building like this.... they're funny-cute-kind-of-insane-powered-somehow-sane- thank you seowoon- you really-are the glue of the group- vibes.

aaand cahaya and seowoon's dynamic makes me!, !*@* I can't wait to see how it'll develop, both as characters and romantically of course, especially as the plot continues to flourish.... im particular curious about seowoon and cahaya's role...i feel like cahaya is still very much an enigma... for both the readers and the MC... like cahaya's Spoiler

[collapse] was already an intriguing point I feel will come to play later... there's definitely more to him that we, the reader still don't know!! so yes I am hooked.

then there's our cute MC.. you've heard about the hamsterfication of MCs in bl novels, you're not ready for the elephant shrew-fication of our mc! you just can't help but love him...i adore his obsession with the milk candy...... again so many questions left about what the "Spoiler

[collapse]" actually is and seowoon's bigger role into the plot... so mysterious... so cool... yes my vocabulary is limited to "cool" and "wow" I just love what ive read so far... he feels really real at times if that makes sense...

.... in essence the plot will have you invested and you won't be able to put it down... thank you to the translator if you see this!

(ill probably delete this or update it when I finish the novel but until then!! please read it it's incredible and support the author if you can of course)
