not too bad. I liked the first half up until the MC and ML got married. Although I really hate the "misunderstanding" trope, I still picked it up anyways. So even though it literally dragged on for over 100 chapters, I powered through. What makes it satisfying is that in the end when they finally talk it out, the MC doesn't leave out ANYTHING, from his terrible experiences in his past life because of the imperial family, to his feelings. It's clear cut with no more room for doubts.

I know it's important for MC to "forgive" and also move on with his life, but I just felt like he was not angry enough. The emperor is disgusting, Fu Yi is disgusting. I just wish they would both die sooner and leave the noble consort niang niang alone.

As much as I enjoyed it so far, I hate the amnesia trope the most. Me personally, it's more annoying than the "misunderstanding" trope. This is where I drop it. In my mind, the emperor, fu yi, and the crown prince dies, noble consort niang niang is finally free and get's to roam and travel as her heart wishes with no tr*sh scum ever able to even lay another eye on her, and our MC and ML + friends lived happily ever after!!!

Still, it's not too bad though!
