It is one of the few danmei titles that i've gotten a physical copy of. Love the narration, story and relationship between the cp. Even side characters are awesome. The translation is done very well that makes reading it so smooth.This is a super under rated danmei, tbh. There are lots of reason to read this:- plot itself is well thought out- budding relationship between Duan Bai Yue and Chu Yuan- angst oh yes there is angst- side characters aren't the typical fill ins that u see most of the time- awesome translation but you do have to wait a little, I'm sure we'll get to the end soon :') - there are manhua, Audio drama and donghua adaptations. Audio drama is free on Missevan and S1 is actually fully translated by another kind soul.- beautiful arts of the CP- comedic undertones (which I love) - hot didi to simp over (Duan Yao hello) The only thing stopping me to rec this everywhere and everyday is that I get "oh it isn't fully translated yet, I'll wait". So here I am, fully recommending everyone to join in this ancient Vassal King X Emperor ancient setting novel (but without all the court politics headaches) ugh I'm sorry to have accidentally rated this a 4. It's a 4.5 star ⭐️
