(The rating is for the story, and not the translation. The translation is excellent!)

This story was promising initially but like other reviewers Pcome and IrregularPer, I'm dropping it after 109 chapters. I really struggled past chapter 100.

It might just be a matter of taste. The ML shows all the signs of being a future extreme yandere. Without being too spoilery- he exhibits loads of the usual red flags and toxicity, and while I'm all for the wife-chasing-crematorium genre, I have a feeling MC is too naive, weak-hearted and clueless to realize he's a frog being slowly cooked in a boiling pot.

The first time they interacted sexually, I felt genuine disgust at what happened, and this is from someone who regularly reads dub-con and has zero issues with the concept in fiction.

ML started as a wronged individual and you do feel supportive of Oscar's efforts as a reader as he tries to make amends and rescue ML before he could blacken and destroy his family, but then ML devolved into a scheming, manipulative conman who takes full advantage of the MC's guilt and lowered defenses against him. Granted we have omnipotence as the reader, but MC also frustratingly waives away all the obvious clues that ML is not as innocent as he seems, under the excuse that it's normal for a "servant" to be that way. He has no backbone or conviction in his own sense of self, which ultimately destroyed all pity or forbearance I had for him.

I did like Oscar at the start, and felt a little maternal towards this kid who's trying desperately to help prevent a future calamity from destroying his beloved mother, stepbrother and to some extent, his stepfather. He really loves his mom, and he tries very hard to get along with his stepbrother even though he's just a transmigrator. Hence why I felt doubly hurt that he is toyed with so cruelly by the ML, but I suppose that is to be expected with yandere emotionally abusive MLs.

In short, stay away from this novel if you're against red flag yandere tops and naive, gullible bottoms who will eventually end up in the top's spider web. But if that is your thing, then I think you'll have a grand ol' time with this piece of work.
