The Brainwashing Of The Impending Disaster Isn’t Being Undone Chapter 103 Discussion

Oscar is doing his best to 'free' the Zachary for the best perceivable outcome. Oscar's a soft soul who ardently puts in the effort for many years to come... I also enjoy the complex family dynamics, but I stopped vibing with the story- Spoiler

after Zachary regains his consciousness. We get his perspective of how it was not only painful, but comfortable to give up his free will.

Zachary remembers their past interaction, and develops a selfish possessiveness for Oscar who is incredibly concerned for the him. He's is anxious that if he regains his freedom, he will inevitably be separated from Oscar. Zachary desperately doesn't want this, and subjugates the very man who cursed him to reinforce his current relationship with Oscar.

Zachary 's deliberately harming himself to keep Oscar's attention on him. And he's taking advantage of Oscar 's concern for him to mol*st, isolate, and intimidate him. He feels guilty and tolerates Zachary's actions so that he won't harm himself during these episodes.

It's intentional, and I hate it. Zachary doesn't explain his actions; except during episodes of heighten emotions, in which Oscar confuses it with delirium under the curse. This sort of communication is intermittent and is emotionally taxing and stressful for Oscar.

Zachary wants to isolate Oscar and doesn't explain why he's disturbed by Oscar smiling at his family, getting assistance from his stepbrother, or writing letters to friends. To Oscar, these are inexpiable reactions that he accommodates and caters to.

Oscar is also unsafe around this brute given his weak constitution. Since Zachary's regained his consciousness, he's pinned Oscar down regularly, given him bite marks that are slow to heal, etc.

And Oscar's attempts to communicate with Zachary has been ineffective with convenient memory loss or derailed with heightened episodes.

He acts impulsively and sabotages Oscars's deliberate lifestyle by acting out. And because Oscar accompanies him during his episodes, he's weary. I don't think Zachary is faking his episodes, but he's taking advantage of it to mol*st Oscar.

ML is utterly detestable and I'm surprised that this doesn't have tragedy attached to it's title. This is just miserable with a kinky flavor.

The writing and translation is excellent, but doesn't excuse the twisted romance this story portrays.
