It's like reading a trainwreck. I really liked the first 20 translated chapters so I MTL some. I like MC & ML plus the support characters close to them. Although I wanna beat MC's unreasonably spoiled childhood friend for hurting ML, I still wanted him to get a good end. I wish those scheming ancient ppl (i.e. Those that harmed ML or MC's childhood friend) to miserably die a thousand deaths. The pacing is awful, like a roller-coaster: starts off good, then goes bad when MC's childhood friend goes around with his childish unreasonableness, then various ups & downs until I couldn't take it anymore & just glanced at the ending & eventually dropped it. This is probably a writing problem. There are undeniably good parts throughout the novel that I want to go back to read carefully but overall, I just don't have the patience to live through this trainwreck
