Despite my 2 star, I do think the overall hate ratings is overdone due to low mental people getting highly offended from fictional nation diffs / nationalism, but the story WAS good. But it does fall off later once it actually leans onto the dungeon/streaming side. You get to a point where you just constantly scroll and skim as every chapter is copy pasta of the same mold, only to try and find the interesting main plot that they constantly teased you with and elongated.I don't think the story is neccessarily bad, but it is borderline mediocrity. There's both interesting enough points you strive for, and the negative filler aspects. It's an okay novel. It suffers from too much filler and plot armor moments.I suggest just read the manhwa with the mostly bad art if you truly want to get into the story, as it is a better format due to the copy pasta getting spoon fed into you as pictures. However, for the manhwa you'd instead persist reading for the Japanese Woman reveal who took till end of season 1 to show who the mysterious girl who stole away his brother in law was, only to show a woman with a chubby face and a mole. Even with the bad art you'd expect her to look prettier than the current FL woman... they weren't even comparable, it was better when her face wasn't shown. Once that finally got revealed there was no point in me rapidly skimming the manhwa anymore as the constant plot teaser for that was finally over.
