Mmm it was tittering between acceptable misunderstanding and annoying misunderstanding driving the "love story" for awhile and I have decided to drop it because it's not for me and has a certain type of ml. This story is by no means as bad as others I've read but it's an example of: Honestly I think bl stories are too casually accepting of s*xual harassment as acceptable plot (but hey maybe gay guys are more accepting of this and I'm being an unnecessary voice btw).Bc this book is based on a dense MC with a ML hitting on him to the point of physical contact but ofc doesn't ever respectfully confess/officially state his pursual to start. The problem with this type of "cute plot" is that it has the implicit idea that straight men can be turned. However it could be argued that no straight. men would accept what was happening to him without him "unconsciously" being gay.... But honestly in this case he really is oblivious and states it.Spoiler
Soo yea a lot of this bl type of plots seem to imply someone can either know someone's sexuality better than them/assume they are that just bc they think they are without ever confronting them OR they just believe you can "turn people gay" I mean that's just a real egotistical idea. I mean the ML thought one of these or else he would have just respectfully asked the MC out to begin with/I know it's not easy but just assuming you're in a relationship bc you keep touching the guy is both selfish and lacks consent? Anyways I'm just saying it's not for me and that's fine bc I'm not even rating it. I'm just pointing why these plots are bothersome. I mean like where is the consent (the ML gave him a hickey out of nowhere)... and respect. /Ramble
[collapse] Just don't think too much like me and you'll be fine to read this probably
