The beginning was fine but as it went on I thought that it was boring. The frequent POV changes make it hard to read and they’re also really unnecessary, like I really do not need to know the thoughts of a forgettable side character. The translation is average, but they also tell you when the POV changes which gets annoying when it changes every 2 paragraphs. Also, I realize that some translator sites split up their chapters because the chapters are so big but in this case the chapters were so small that it was messing up the flow of the story. This story likes to make use of Japanese history and in those cases I just end up skimming through because it’s boring and why does this even matter in a European setting... ? The author also likes to add info dumps here and there which I also end up skimming through because it doesn’t really add that much to the world building. Idk, everyone was just sort of boring to me and nothing really stood out.
