At the behest of the translating team, I have taken on the role of dispatching more readers to this hidden gem of a novel. (It's only my second review so here goes nothing.) Translations? Great.Enjoyable main character who cares and takes care of people close to him and feeds them delicious, drool-inducing, drug-like addicting foods? Amazing. (I'm a sucker for teamwork in my novels.) Delicious descriptions of food with a large variety of cuisines? Even better. (We got Japanese, Korean, and Italian cuisine in just 18 chapters!) Realistic actions and depictions of characters that don't feel too cringe? And favorable depiction of the military (which is rare in apocalyptic novels) ? So cool. (Help, I'm running out of intensifiers.) Nice writing in general and with no harem so far as the eye can see?
