I mean, it's a fun and entertaining story. Reading the characters plot and scheme is very intriguing. I've always been slightly partial to Japanese BL over the vastly more abundant Chinese BL, and I was slightly excited as I started reading this novel. It certainly delivered in terms of quality, at least for my standards, and the intelligence and cunning shown by the main character is always a joy to read, but their questionable moral integrity and hypocrisy puts me off from liking them a bit. So, you can imagine my disappointment at my realization that I might not like this story that much despite knowing of its quality.Still, I'll keep reading for the story, but I'll deduct 1 star for the displeasure I'll feel as I read on.
