I adore this novel.Strong FL who knows herself. She doesn't mind being perceived as poor, shameless, or stingy. Wei San looks out for herself, is herself, and that's all that matters. So refreshing.Great storytelling and world-building.If you've read "Stormtrooper" by Heinlein. This world kinda reminds me of that: setting far into the future where humanity discover aliens and are actively fighting against them. Very technologically advanced. Military-focused. Most of the story is not about that tho (~300 chapters into it). It's about the inter-school (and inte-star) mecha competition where Wei San (FL) is one of the 5 main participants for her school. She's a genius in her own rights, being double-majored in mecha engineering and solider), but because she's surrounded by others who are also geniuses, she's not presented as a Mary-sue type of character and develops plenty through hardwork and perseverance.Filled with mecha (and also hand to hand) fight scenes. Great fight scene; well translated. Humor: so, so funny. I definitely have LOL'd at how shameless she is (also her teammates). Howling at 3pm. (Seriously, when I started reading this, I stayed up til like 4:30am reading 150 chapters) I love her friendships!! So, so much. I'm gonna be so sad once I finish this.The novel doesn't talk about how they look (not really) which is def one of the draws, as other reviewers have pointed out. But if you're interested in seeing some of the fan art (?) you can google the Chinese name :) So. Cool. Holy snap. Definitely will give you a feel of the story.Note about reading ahead: the best translation is still Boba Tea. However, if you feel impatient like I am tho, Boba Tea's chapter 434 is chapter 137 on vynovel.
