After the travesty of my last two five stars, I hope this isn't in vain this early.

It's good, but the beginning was a bit better than the main story. It's like the opposite problem of English novel.

It's a Mecha novel, so the author put in a lot of effort in the world building and battles. Unless the author forgets a random detail they added a 100 chapters ago

That doesn't mean there isn't any good character moments and scenes. Just a bit lacking.

Here's some cool worldbuilding details that might make you interested

So the main adversary at the beginning are the star beast (I would like to call them the Galatic Menace, but that just me). They are biotech monsters with partial intelligence. At first they kinda of feel like any other alien/beast invasions. But their might and ferocity started to leave a mark on me. The story really does feel like not only a technological arms race, but a biological arms race.

The mechs are pretty cool as well. They are made from the corpses of star beast. So the story has a nice transition from the weak mechanical mechs at the start to the more biological mechs of the mid point. However since the mechs aren't describe the best all the times, you have to piece this information together in an uncomfortable way.

There is also magic, well it's not called magic, but there is a magic system. They call it perception, and it allows the characters to perseve and control biological and mechanical process. It's a very limited magic system, but still cool anyway. Most people are only skilled in using perception in certain ways. Controlling mechas, creating mechas, and commanding other mechas. This goes a bit further since the difference vetween a mecha and a stat beast is practically null. Of course the MC also has one of the highest perceptions in the whole story and can use perception in two ways. Because of course she does.
