Gave 3 for tsundere, fun read and not your run of the mill tr*sh. It is a unique WN and worth a read.

If you love tsundere and want to read something fluffy like zero no tsukiama or the demon king maid or CEO Wife, then you can give it a try.

Let me warn you, if you are like me who likes to see the FL act tsundere but still respect the MC and MC is also is not a masochist then this is not for you. The protagonist is beaten by the FL throughout the novel.

But for me the M (masochistic) behaviour of the protagonist spoils it a bit, I would love to see some payback or retaliation against Qiu Wuji for all her sadistic tendencies.

The retaliation could be in the form of domination after the protagonist turns stronger or some emotional conflict. Example:

MC:"i love you";

Tsundere FL:"I hate you, get lost"

and the MC banishes her from coming to his world for a undefined amount of time. After which she apologizes or something and they respect and love each other.

It might sound s*upid to someone who has not read the novel but some such situation could really complete the novel and make things go full circle. According to how things are going, I dont see anything like that happening.

Why the story is incomplete like this?

We see throughout the novel, the protagonist displaying his love for the FL by

shielding her,

making advances despite being beaten,

accommodating and accepting her,

giving her, a stranger, shelter and luxury while still being poor,

risking his livelihood (by not making her love chu tiange in a harem novel)

expressing his love multiple times even with lack of reciprocation

but her display of love is

accepting the advances of the main character after beating him multiple times for doing that

behaving like a virtuous housewife (cooking and grocery shopping)

asking him to work hard (not exactly her display of love, mostly its to shoo him off)

Beating him brutally

falling for the MC despite being the 10000 year old arrogant sect master.

and if you use these points for comparison, imo, the protagonist is like a flower stuck in a pile of manure.

Except the virtuous wife who takes care of her husband part, she has no redeeming quality and all this could be solved with some retaliation or plot twist, kind of thing, but the novel is not translated further and I am not hooked enough to continue further in mtl.
