This only gets two stars because the initial idea was interesting and some minor twists at the half point. But that's all the story has, a good idea.Blueraven covers pretty much all of my complaints about the characters. As for the world building and scenarios, the author just picks the standard templates you see in all of these novels and makes them worst; like the standard "Celebrity living in the countryside", other novels at least try to portray some kind of game that might be potentially entertaining, whereas this one can't even pull that off.Spoiler
Now what really made me drop the novel is how the main character INSTANTLY forgave the original family despite how tr*sh they are, despite earlier monologues claiming that they had their own share of blame, it was all dismissed without a thought for the sake of blood ties.
