I Help the Richest Man Spend Money to Prevent Disasters Chapter 99 Discussion

Translated ch90 = raw ch25. I read until raw ch99... I'm kind of done.

Other reviews said enough. Romance is cute, although a bit 2D. The characters aren't any different from the standard FL and ML, but I must say I laughed a LOT at the author's attempt to make a compelling flaw for the ML and ending up with... Can't-see-in-the-dark-condition, which somehow can't be revealed to the public because it's a Big Secret only his closest family knows.

My biggest gripe:

Spoiler

Writing. I know the descriptions of light, darkness and coldness are intentional because of their story, and it's supposed to be a theme, but is SO overdone sometimes I wanted to bite my phone in frustration.

Frosty black eyes, eyes so dark they don't reflect light/eyes so dark all the light shines from them (???), dark eyes darkening, light shining from the bottom of black eyes, white light reflecting from the corner of the eyes... These are just a few descriptions for eyes alone. Hands CANNOT be mentioned without "cold, white" before it, and their body temperature is so low sometimes I wondered if they had a medical condition. It's too much. You need to waddle through more and more meaningless and unnecessary words to get a glimpse of what's happening. I counted once and there were 8 paragraphs between a question (does it look good?) and its answer (you're beautiful). Eight. Paragraphs. To describe this: "He walked up to her, close enough she could feel his breath on her face. Eyes looking down on her adoringly, subtle smile containing hints of teasing."

I read until ch99 because I actually wanted to see how it would end, so despite being an average actress/CEO transmigration novel I still thought it was entertaining enough to pass the time, but MAN was it frustrating at times.

Story gripes: 1. theFL is very much useless without the ML. Were it not for his money she would still be bound to the shady agency. 2. By the end, she only did variety shows and one movie that wasn't even released yet, so her fame is as empty as the villainess. 3. What the antagonists have in common: arrogantly throwing money at things. How are the protagonists any different? They just make it look better. The solution to conflicts is slap their faces with even more money. Besides, we all know no one can get that rich by being a good person, so in the end there aren't any good guys in this story.
