early review because I just wanna say how beautifully written this is, well, it's a bit of an exaggeration but it's not completely false either.

i found MC too ruthless at times, though, the was necessary to keep his life but there are times where he himself realize that he could become a tyrant if he's not careful. With how violent he was with ml, I know some might say "oh, that little physical injury is nothing than him being dead" (because he's a threat to the throne) with the fact that MC is from modern times and not have some psychological burden with inflicting damage to other people is concerning, I would even believe it if it's xue yuan who's actually from the modern times and not MC because of how much he fits the world concept

that is not to say that xue yuan is normal, rather, he's on the crazier and darker side, he's a menace. What I mean is that because he acts way too unconventional for the ancient times that he seems to be the transmigrated one and not MC.

aside from that the series is a good read that you should give a try
