First off, these two characters have the best s*xual chemistry, bar none, I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Like, ever. It is electrifying. I'm sure once they do the deed, my reading enjoyment may fade somewhat, but that is neither the fault of the writer nor the translator; it's just the way life works, unfortunately. It's the thrill of the chase. Once your prey has been caught, it's over. *sigh* Their verbal sparring is so much fun to read. The writer is very skilled at conveying their tête-à-tête... just all their little moments is thrilling to read. I'm gushing too much, aren't I? Anyway.If you're a fan of true crime, this story should be right up your alley. I might be desensitized but the crimes and whatnot don't really affect me. However, if you're easily triggered by these kinds of things, be warned that a lot of this story will center around police work. There's a series of cases that they and their fellow colleagues will try to solve and along the way, through having to spend so much time together and also having to experience life and death situations on a daily basis, they develop a greater understanding of each other and as a result, become more comfortable and closer. It's all very natural and extraordinarily well written. Even though the translator warns us that this is MTL, it reads incredibly well. To me, anyway.I can't state this enough: the story is very provocative and their interactions are so sensual and real. It's utterly amazing. At this point, I'm only a little over a third into the story. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest and I hope it continues to be as great as it currently is.Major thanks to the translator for this story; you have excellent taste in all your work.
