mtl up to ch 49 gonna let the translator marinate then i'll reread! figured why not leave a lil review :) the world building is definitely interesting, it's the most in-depth compared the most novels i've read recently.in this world genes mean everything ever since the distortion apocalypse. only individuals with a genetic entropy score of 10 and above can enter the main city while everyone else lives in the many bait cities. our main character an yun for example has a sad genetic entropy score of 0.2. (the healthy range for normal people is 1-10 btw) --- some thoughts --- i like the concept of the spire and the ladder. it's basically like a adventurer's guild I kinda visualized it like kr dungeon/tower manwha. one of my favorite things about this novel are the different abilities/distortion types and the side characters as well! mini spoiler Spoiler
grape's introduction caught me off guard lol didn't expect him to be an actual gr*pe distortion!! how cute!! also ling qiu is one of my all-time favorite characters ever.. it makes me happy whenever his name pops up even though I'm past the first arc if you know you know.
[collapse]one thing I don't like bIG spoiler ahead Spoileris how it's implied that the MC is related to the apocalypse/world. I didn't get that far in the novel so idk what's going on but idk... i've read something recently (not this novel) where the mc's body was the actual earth.........
