As a novel about a character trying to correct their mistakes in a past life, it is well written and interesting to read.

The problem is the author's "Show, Don't tell" style with lots of exposition and what constitutes "info dumps". I would have preferred to read and infer things instead of the author pointing out everything in detail.

Both main characters are rather extreme in their personalities; it makes it difficult to suspend one's disbelief. One is cold and analytical and the other is an eccentric to say the least. The way they supposedly fall in love feels forced and unrealistic.

I'll be dropping this novel. It just didn't work for me.
