wow, yeah, I definitely 100% recommend this. No spoilers needed, go read it for yourself. In simple terms: it has just the right mix of realism and fantasy. Realistic in the sense that it doesn't echo those god-forsaken rebirth novels where everything just works out for the MC with no rhyme or reason (ie. If the MC is reborn and wants to make money, they just straight-up buy a few super expensive ingredients and start a restaurant and BOOM 2 seconds later the restaurant is world-famous--without regards to staff salaries or the cost of maintaining ingredient quality, yada yada, that sort of thing).Fantasy in the sense that the good guys usually win and the bad guys suffer, and if the bad guys don't suffer now, you know they'll suffer later. Unlike those true-to-real-life "horrible characters get away with their schemes" + "good guys keep suffering" + "tragedy after tragedy after tragedy" novels. It's a feel-good novel, but without the excessive plot armor. Well, it *tries* to be realistic, which is a plus. Just sort-of plot armor, which is honestly a given in these types of novels at this point. If I have one problem, it's that I don't really get the MC at some points. Like I get he ain't omnipotent, which I appreciate, but also he appears to be a calm individual? But he also swears and gets angry somewhat easily (depending on circumstance) ? Like two distinct extremes. Well, whatever, it's no biggie.ALSO. No super yandere overbearing ML (who seems like a chill guy--not that I have *too* much against yanderes; they're fun sometimes).
