Xu Chenghao (MC) and Jing Yicheng's (ML) interactions have really developed from being enemies to having friendly banter etc. ever since ML wanted to befriend him because he thinks MC relates with him Spoileron the fact that they both gave up on the origFL (An Ruoyu)
[collapse]Another thing that makes me smile is Xu Chenghao's (MC) childish banter with Li Nian (his assistant) SpoilerHehe for Xu Chenghao to escape marriage proposals, he told an aspiring candidate (with his parents) and origFL that he was gay and he used Li Nian as a meatshield aka since hes always with him people will think that they have something haha

“What are you looking at!” Li Nian’s eyes were horrified for a moment: “Don’t scare me; I’m straight!”

- Chapter 21 MC has throat problems because of his cold and ML has throat problems caused by chili pepper (both inflicted on each other)
For the rest of the waiting time, they all held a cup of hot water each, and very rhythmically, you cough twice, I cough twice, then together they took a sip of hot tea and continued waiting in silence.
- Chapter 26 ML causes origFL to eat the pepper (MC get's him back by dunking water on him)
“I...” An Ruoyu was frightened. Her eyes reddened from the sudden rebuke. She opened her mouth, wanting to explain. Jing Yicheng, next to her, suddenly squinted. Pretending to break free, he raised his hand—An Rouyu’s elbow was hit and raised from the impact. Her entire arm seemed to be dislocated, instantly numb and without strength. The pepper in her hand flew out of her hand and straight into her mouth. She wanted to scream in pain but ended up swallowing it raw.
