Honestly I DNFed this one. I know a lot of people love this novel but the sheer number of times it drove me to sleep is outrageous.i just found the relationship between Lu Wenxing (MC) and Gu Yanshen (ML) to be so f*cking boring and it dragged down the story several notches. They were pretty much a case of instalove on ML’s side and they kept on collaborating on every f*cking project together that it got really annoying. Also ML had so much of the novel dedicated to him but he was honestly so f*cking bland that I simply wanted to skip anytime he was even mentioned.Personally I would have preferred the story to focus more on the family aspect (hybrid family dynamic had so much potential) and the mystery surrounding LWX’s kidnapping (which is give more suspense and grit would have elevated the to great heights).I might take this backup sometime later but honestly I don’t see myself doing that anytime soon.
