A MC that isn't overpowered, actually thinks for himself, uses strategy and isn't an annoying little prick [weak to strong]. A world that has (so far atleast) interesting characters, with own motivations and background stories. Army building. A plot that leaves you wanting for more. There is no harem so far and good humor. And one element that I absolutely love: Spoiler
characters that actually die - characters that you have sympathise with will die.
