Incredibly enjoyable story. There were quite a few interesting twists and really fantastic pay offs. Definitely worth reading.

+++The villains are also really compelling in their own way as well. For me, one of the best arcs was with the vampire king. So if you're a bit unconvinced by the story at first, like I was, definitely read through that arc and see if it hooks you. It sort of embodies the essence of the narrative structure that comes after. Otherwise, this story probably isn't your cup of tea.

Something I found off-putting, but gradually came to accept was the strange tone. At times there would be incredible emotional moments, and then it would be just comedic in the next. Its very "game-like" in that sense, I feel like since theres so many twists and turns, the author doesn't treat some moments with the importance they deserve, but more often than not there are plenty of satisfying payoffs that make up for it. Definitely worth reading.
