PLOT - It's nothing new. FL transmigrated into a 6-year-old. Her dad took her in and was indifferent to her at first but eventually became a doting father. In this story though, the FL didn't try to please her father nor deliberately act cute just to be favored. The dad gradually realized how neglectful he was towards his daughter then tries to change and care for her attentively. I feel like half of the story is about the remaining feelings of the main characters after the "game's happy ending" and how they had changed while the other half is about the FL's life. Story's not too bad. There's nothing revolutionizing nor something that will make you flabbergasted. It's more of a lighthearted read. Pacing is ok — not too fast but not too slow.CHARACTERS - Supporting characters are given enough screentime. I'd say they're partly fleshed out. FL and her dad, on the other hand, have enough depths to their characters.ROMANCE - It's the typical "ML falls for the FL at first sight." I have no qualms with ML except for the fact that he's quick at giving up because of his poor circumstances. I can't blame him though. However, he at least respects the FL's wishes and treats her well. Despite the clear hints of a future marriage alliance between them, he didn't want to force the FL into something she doesn't like. But, he does make an effort to befriend her and build positive feelings. What I liked about this novel:• FL's character is realistic. She couldn't immediately accept her death, her friend's betrayal, and her transmigration. She also didn't instantly see Asil as her father. She... saw him as a handsome man but eventually sees and accepts him as her father.• FL is mischievous, which I find endearing. I believe FL was still a student in her previous life. It wasn't mentioned if she's in middle school, high school, or college. But the way she acts is sometimes like a child (not in an annoying way).• I like that Asil, the FL's dad, decided to forget the past and completely erase Alice from his mind, heart, and life. He decided to focus on the present and her daughter. It's also satisfying how he told Alice straight up that she will no longer exist in his life. Although their position during that scene was not very... demure nor very mindful.• I like the dynamics of the side character "couple", Levina and Al.What I didn't like about this novel:• Narration is more on tell than show.• Info-dumping• Alice. Naivety and optimism aren't bad traits but if both are too much? Nah. It makes her look dumb. Actually, she IS dumb. She has an overinflated sense of justice without neither the wits nor strength to back it up. She's simply lucky that she is the OG heroine and competent men flocked around and helped her. The way she keeps sending letters, visiting, and reminiscing about the past with the guys who weren't chosen? Please. The way she's acting like everything is still the same as their pasts. Like they're still just "friends." Like she isn't aware of Asil's lingering feelings... it's irritating. To me, she's just a pretty face with an insensitive personality.I stopped for now cause it was getting boring for me. It has a slice of life vibe to it, which isn't a genre I exactly prefer. It had little to no action, much less schemings. I guess I'm just not in the mood for this kind of story right now.
