I think Ido's being very selfish. Does he even think of what Alita wants?

oh yeah this arc's heating up now!  self interested egos all clashing in the arena!

What? o_O  He had the considerate attitude of anyone giving life. Now, he's just getting too possessive, just like Gally is going too far in taking her distance.

Alita continues her winning streak and goes to see a top league event to get a hint of what she'll be going up against in her near future. At the same time, Ido and Shumira are attending the same event. I thought it was the definition of irony when Shumira got mad at Alita and called her a cheapskate for not giving her the little fuzzy creature for free. Haha.

The match begins and Jasugun starts off strong, but he immediately has an issue and falls over while flat lining. Shumira gets worried, so her and Ido climb the fence to try to go help him. Ido is introduced as a doctor and so he's able to help Jasugun.  He attempts an unorthodox technique that revives Jasugun back to his prime, which enables him to secure his victory. Ido realizes he can use Jasugun to try to crush Alita's pride to make her come back to him. That's really scummy of you to think of, Ido. I get that he's hurt by her leaving him, but she's her own being and has autonomy. He's acting really possessive and it's beginning to come off like he's a bit crazy for her.

Now, even Ido is acting weird.

I'm kinda starting to think that Ido doesn't really think of Alita as a "daughter figure", sigh. I bet it's that mad doctor who did that brain augmentation.

Ido's point of view is pretty interesting. He is unsure about how he sees Alita, but now he unconsciously let that selfish thought slip.

Ido is. A pretty realistic character. He's a good man, but he's no saint. He's selfish and has desires like all of us. Alita leaving him hurt.

                        Make her mine again? Is it just me or is Ido's thinking incredibly dangerous. Actually, his attitude about her was always suspicious such as when Alita became a bounty hunter. Interesting..

Damn, this Zalem area is really interesting, can't wait to see how it plays out.
