So... I finished Arc 5, or pretty close to it, and ultimately quit.By this point in time, there's utterly no tension. I find the MC more and more unlikeable as arcs pass. My suspension of disbelief is pretty broken, and I don't care to read more to find out why the MC is basically omnipotent and never has to worry about consequences. Every character seems to be s*upid and I don't understand any of their motivations. And there's so much r*pe in this story. By Arc 5, it seems like most of the ex-female leads are kind of there to be arrogant, dumb and unbridled, get r*ped and tortured and then become prostit**es and/or s*x s*aves. Some problems with the MC:Spoiler
- No empathy for anyone or anything.
- She views the people in the worlds as NPCs. Even if their behavior deviates from the setting she's given, she's like, oh, they're just NPCs and nothing matters about them or what happens to them.
- She's got endless cheats with no explanations of where they came from.
- She's revealed herself to be some amazing hacker, she has an unexplained space, and she never has to worry about money because she's a god of stock markets and apparently can always turn her money into billions regardless of her background.
- For the space they don't tell you anything about it other than she has one. Was she born with it? Was it some mystical item she picked up? Did she do missions previously to earn one? No clue. For the other 2 skills that I've seen, again, it's unexplained.
- Based on the way this story is going, she'll have more cheats that pop up as it becomes relevant, but due to these cheats there's utterly no tension for anything. I'm never once worried about her or thinking she'll ever run into any problem she can't solve with a wave of her hand.
- She's arrogant and unbridled with no fear of the consequences to the point she's kind of dumb.
- Even if she has all these cheats, she doesn't care that she shows it. In Arc 5 she's come from a cultivation world into a modern one. She's now the adopted child of a wealthy family and is in a school filled with the heirs and descendants of other wealthy powerful families that have ties to the underground or the government, or huge businesses. And then she just sort of summons a sword out of nowhere and constantly threatens these powerful people with it if they block her way or annoy her.
- Never once is the police called on her even when she threatens to kill people or stab them with her sword. Never once is there any consequence for her waving a sword around in public in a modern setting. No one calls the police. She also kidnaps her wealthy parents who hate her guts and... even after she lets them go with them knowing she kidnapped them, there's no consequence. They don't call the police on her. Why?
- She does bad things and then wonders why her morality points drop.
- Her morality points are tied with her life. She starts with -100, 000 morality points for constantly writing dumb and crazy novels that always have bad things happen to the main characters. If she hits -200, 000, she'll be terminated.
- First thing she does when she's free in her first world, is write more dumb and crazy novels causing her morality points to drop. After that she basically continues to: kidnap people, threaten anyone who annoys her with weapons regardless of the setting, nearly kill people pretty often, tells a suicidal terminally ill person to commit su*cide because his whole life is a waste, and she constantly wants to kill people for annoying her.
And then she goes, huh, why does the system keep saying I've been doing immoral things? And continues to earn like -2, 000 to -5, 000 points a world.Meanwhile I'm sitting here like, are you... ever going to learn? To which the answer appears to be no.
