The story is entertaining, but the author, finding success with their formula, never strives to change it.

The story follows Shi Sheng, an extremely willful woman who is forced into a quick transmigration system/narrative. The quirk, though, is that she is much too competent and powerful to really be tied down by the system. And so, SS simply does whatever she pleases in the worlds she visits. Readers are presented with familiar quick transmigration tropes: fated individuals, cannon fodder, face slapping, etc.

The presentation is what sets this story apart. SS simply doesn't care very much how things turn out, content with being left alone. However, the other characters act out their own insane melodramas, and peg her as another participant - coming up with perceived slights and schemes left and right. Once they cross her bottom line, she just starts wrecking sh*t up in a completely overbearing fashion, and never in the way the others expect. It's hilarious.

There's also a B plot where she picks up a cold tsundere lover that follows her through the worlds without remembering anything. It's refreshing in that the gender roles in their relationship is flipped, but then again, they're essentially the only two characters for which this is true. Everyone else falls under the same tired archetypes we've seen everywhere else, so this is more or less a gimmick (if anyone was expecting a feminist slant).

So yes, this is quite entertaining, but though the setting changes often, it does become repetitive. SS doesn't change/grow, and there isn't really an overarching storyline or mystery to tackle. Just enjoy the romp.
