Side Character Transmigrations: The Final Boss is No Joke Chapter 247 Discussion

I've read a lot of quick transmigration novels, and by a lot practically most of the BG transmigration novels that can be found in this site. I love this genre. It's fun uwu

Anyhow, with that experience and the other reviews taken to mind, I can say this story has a rather different and risky approach to transmigration stories. And by risky, it's not something a lot of people can stomach if you're looking for fluffy romance transmigration stories. This story is... surprisingly not entirely black or white. It's rather gray, with a mix of justice and villainy on the MC's side. She's not entirely good even though she's supposed to be. I'd say she's more on the villain side actually.

The MC is an anti-hero. Keep that in mind before you read this story. The MC is not one for justice, and it's been said several times now in the story that she probably has something against society. She loves to wreck havoc, and many times the people in the worlds she just left expressed happiness that she finally passed away. That pretty much says something about the MC's cruelty. Also, her stats even said she has -100k+ morality points and still decreasing. And some of her missions are even rated with F. If you're looking for a good girl MC, this is not the story.

Imagine a very logical person who's also blunt enough to say that logic to people's faces, who's also very familiar with plot clichés and ridicules them, and is absolutely shameless, even to her own ML. That is this MC. She has no qualms about using cheats and even hacks (in the online game world. Speaking of that, that world is my fave so far. It's hilarious. Though the ending is kinda danggit) for her own gain.

That said, is this a bad story? Hard to say. It can be good to some and bad for the other. I can say though that to read this, you have to remember that this is only a fictional story and not real. There exists some cruel scenarios that would make you question the MC's morality, but thing is she does lack morality. In fact, it seems that her lack of morality has something to do with the reason why she was brought to this transmigration thingy in the first place, though as you can see from my reading progress I have yet to reach that far.

Then why would I read this story? What makes it good enough to try reading? This story, as said before, has a different take on transmigration stories. And it's not just about the MC. Surprisingly, the side characters have life to them. You might even find that in some worlds, the MC's friends or other side characters are far more interesting than the ML himself. Even the target FLs and MLs are not all pure evil like other transmigration stories usually wrote. In one world, the target ML was innocent and didn't receive a tragic ending by the time the arc ended. It was bittersweet, but it was probably the best ending he could receive after all that happened. In another world, the target FL became the MC's friend. And this doesn't just happen once or twice. Hell, in one world the MC's ML actually died and caused the MC to grief for once. Basically, the arcs' plots are rather unpredictable, and even with how OP the MC is, sometimes the target FL and ML's plot armor are still stronger than hers.

And the MC is not just about cruelty. Her shamelessness and logical thinking makes for a lot of hilarious scenes, some that you might even have wished actually happened in other stories. It's pure gold. Some arcs would make you laugh, some would make you wince and squirm from discomfort, and others coo from how cute the MC's ML is, or make you heavily ship the target FL/ML with a side character and rejoice that they became real. It's a roller coaster of emotions.

How about the romance between the MC and her ML? Well, it's there. There is indeed romance between the MC and her ML, but it doesn't happen instantly. Spoiler

I'm pretty sure that the first few worlds' MLs aren't her ML either. And after meeting her real ML, it took another few worlds for them to reunite again.

And why did I rate this story 4 stars? Well, simply because the story's too long. I personally think the author could've just kept it at 1000 chapters or so to deliver the entire content. It'd be fine if the author managed to keep all the arcs interesting, but since I haven't actually finished reading the entire thing, I think 4 stars is a safe enough rating.
