This is one of those cookie cutter adventure novels that you want to read over and over again. Despite the overused concept, this novel executes everything almost on point.MC is akin to a dumb dog that's just happy to be there. His personality is loveable and you're never angry at him but just exasperated at his antics. He's oblivious as hell but has enough braincells to piece stuff together and come to common sense and logical conclusion.I think that the biggest thing that surprises me was the fact that the romance is very much secondary in this story. It's mostly used as a dramatic romcom type setting but still blossoms out into something sweet. This mostly has to due with MC's and ML's personalities. With that being said, this is not a bad thing. If anything, it shows that the author intentionally is making this an adventure story rather than making the focus romance like most BLs are. I like that the story knows what it wants and the summary itself sets the story up as an adventure as well as a self-discovery story.This story is all sorts of clichés and fun put together. 5 stars!!
