This story really had potential but the author can never stay focused.
PROS
The pacing from weak to strong is relatively well done even though a lot of the strength comes from experience MC was not able to utilize while human
The MC doesn’t go all edgelord and ditch his humanity
The bearable parts are actually well written
CONS
The author often goes on multiple tangents in between even the smallest events. To make matters worse each tangent is often a full blown exposition so any relatively simple action could take multiple pages to complete
Due to all of the (mostly) meaningless exposition character interactions feel shallow and in turn make all the characters seem shallow
Important events/characters seem to be forgotten without the MC ever mentioning them again.
