This is a solid fantasy adventure story about an adventurer named Rentt who gets turned into an undead but is still committed to his dream of becoming a mythril-class adventurer. It is slow-paced, and the narration can be rambling at times, but there is a lot of worldbuilding and you get invested in the characters over time. I found it difficult to get into initially and even a bit boring in the first volume or two, but by volume 4 or 5 I found myself reading two volumes per day or so as Rentt gets stronger and the stakes slowly start to get higher. Many characters and setting elements that seem to be irrelevant in the first couple of volumes set up events for the larger storyline. Also, Rentt and Lorraine's friendship is very heartwarming.
