A good premise, decent writing and interesting enough take on a fantasy world, hampered by inconsistent pacing/focus that would be more akin to a slow/farming life webnovel than a properly serialized work. For example the entirety of volume 9 can be summed up as 'discover/train new powers from end of last volume, get invite to capital, get to capital.' All without any combat or major developments. It even has the gall to pull that 'end main storyline in 3/4 of the volume and pad out last 1/4 with unrelated sidestories' meta of recent light novels.
